Kunming Huachengtai Trading Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes the Tomato app — an offline-first toolkit for everyday measurement and simple health logging. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how it is stored, and what choices you have.

2. Information we process
2.1 Data you enter in the app
Depending on which tools you use, Tomato may store on your device:
- Health & life logs: sleep diary entries, period/cycle events, water intake records, step counts, BMI inputs, and offline weather notes.
- Preferences: settings such as water daily targets, altitude barometer baseline, and recently opened tools.
- Exported copies: if you choose “Export diary JSON to clipboard,” a JSON snapshot is placed on your device clipboard under your control.
2.2 Sensor and device data (processed locally)
When you open relevant tools, the app may read data from your device in real time to provide functionality. This data is used on-device and is not transmitted to our servers by default:
- Compass / level / metal detector: orientation and magnetic field sensors
- Sound meter: microphone audio levels (not recorded or uploaded by us)
- Altitude: GPS location and barometric pressure
- Pedometer: activity recognition / step estimates
- Camera tools (magnifier, mirror): camera preview frames on device
- Flashlight: camera flash / torch hardware
2.3 What we do not collect by default
- No registration, login, or social profile
- No advertising ID collection by us for cross-app tracking
- No upload of your diary or sensor streams to company servers as part of normal app operation
3. Permissions
Tomato requests Android permissions only to support specific features. You can deny permissions; related tools may be limited.
Permission overview
- Camera — magnifier, mirror, and flashlight (where applicable)
- Record audio — sound meter noise level
- Location (fine / coarse) — altitude and GPS elevation
- Activity recognition — step counting
- Notifications — optional local reminders if enabled on your device
- Vibrate — light haptic feedback in some interactions
4. How we store and protect data
- On-device storage: sleep, cycle, and weather logs are stored in a local Room database. Other preferences use Android DataStore on your device.
- Backup: if you enable Android backup for this app, your device OS may include app data in encrypted device backups according to Google/Android settings. We do not control cloud backup providers.
- Security: we design Tomato to minimize data collection. Protect your device with a screen lock and keep your OS updated.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only if:
- you choose to share it (for example, pasting exported JSON into another app);
- required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; or
- necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, or our company, where permitted by law.
Third-party services (such as Google Play, your device manufacturer, or analytics in future versions if added) may process limited technical data under their own policies. If we integrate such services, we will update this policy.
6. Retention and deletion
- Data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or clear app storage.
- You can use Settings → Clear all local data inside Tomato to remove local databases and preferences stored by the app.
- Uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device, subject to Android backup behavior.
7. Children’s privacy
Tomato is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will assist with deletion steps on the device.
8. Health and measurement disclaimer
Tomato provides measurement and wellness logging tools for general reference only. Outputs (including BMI, hydration logs, sleep notes, compass readings, sound levels, and altitude estimates) are not medical advice and are not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. Always consult qualified professionals for health decisions.
9. International users
Our company is based in China. If you use Tomato from other regions, your information is primarily processed on your local device. Any contact you send to us (email) will be handled according to this policy and applicable law.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. Because most Tomato data is stored locally on your device, you can:
- view and edit entries inside the relevant tools;
- export diary JSON to your clipboard;
- clear all local data in Settings; or
- uninstall the app.

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Tomato after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
